We are requesting China to allow the political prisoner Jiaping Lyu to have medical parole rights or rehear his case.

Created by M.A. on May 07, 2013

Due to the thirteen political commentaries, Lyu was sentenced to ten years of "inciting subversion of state power" by Beijing Intermediate People's Court on May 13, 2011.
Jiaping Lyu is currently the oldest political prisoner in China. He has seven diseases.
Jiaping Lyu's family has repeatedly urged the Chinese government to authorize Lyu to have medical parole for better medical conditions, But so far it has not been approved.
Jiaping Lyu's case is a typical case as serious violations of the freedom of expression, and we hope the Obama Administration can help the 72-year-old Mr. Jiaping Lyu gain medical parole rights or even encourage Chinese judicial officials to rehear his case.
