We ask Congress to immediately pass legislation making financial restitution to black citizens for slavery and Jim Crow.

This nation has a long history of abuse against black people, and, while it has legally modified many of its oppressive laws, it has never made restitution for its past crimes and has instead substituted more demeaning laws and programs in the place of real reforms and true financial restitution to the victims of this oppression and their heirs. Therefore, we the people do hereby direct our representatives in Congress to immediately craft and pass legislation which provides comprehensive financial reparations to all black citizens of this country, to include payments in both money and real estate, and which also provides taxpayer subsidized financial planning, wealth management and budgeting courses to all recipients of these reparations to assist them in effectively managing these assets.
