We ask that the federal government let the bankruptcy process work. Local governments that fail to fund pensions and other programs should pay the political price just as businesses pay with lost capital when they go bankrupt. This failure has been in the making for decades. The rest of the country can not afford to pay for the corruption in Detroit. If they vote in idiots then the electorate needs to understand that electing stupid people will hurt them. The rest of the country should not bail them out.
