We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

We ask the government to follow in the footsteps of other countries by enforcing stricter gun laws.

Created by O.B. on June 12, 2016

In Australia there have been zero mass shootings since stricter gun laws were set in place in 1996. In Canada, only 8 mass shootings in 20 years. In the United States, over 370 in the last year.
The 2nd Amendment was a law put in place for the protection of our people, but that law is outdated and now doing more harm than good. Now, we need to put in place and enforce stricter gun laws for the protection of our people.
Just in the last 48 hours we have lost over innocent 50 people in acts of terror that could've been prevented by stricter gun laws. Because of this, we ask that you take action to fix this problem as quickly as possible so that more people don't face the same horrific fates as the Pulse Nightclub attendees and Christina Grimmie concert goers.
