I am a proud American as well as a proud father and while gun violence hasn't affected me personally It is time for change. I am not suggesting to take away our right to bare arms instead change our outdated gun laws. Changes such as a limit on how many guns a person can legally possess, a mandatory psychological test just like the one trained officers endure ,an age limit to acquire a permit of at least twenty-one, only a 2 year permit with the same requirements to renew, and a flat out ban of all assault rifles and ridiculous gun-magazines. Politics shouldn't matter in this conversation, Instead we need to unite/honor the lives of those innocent children that were slayed. Their legacy will forever be known as the turning point for good in this country. We at the very least owe them that.
