We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

WE ASK THE PRESIDENT TO PREEMPTIVELY PARDON HILLARY CLINTON FOR ANY ALLEGED WRONGDOING RELATED TO HER EMAIL SERVER

Created by D.R. on November 12, 2016

Despite a thorough FBI investigation absolving Hillary Clinton of any wrongdoing, President-elect Donald Trump and his team have indicated an intention to appoint a Special Prosecutor to pursue criminal charges against her regarding her use of a private email server. Such a politically-motivated action would be contrary to the basic principles of democracy and the rule of law. It would be undertaken not to serve justice, but to keep alive a base-energizing election issue for yet another four years.

Under the Constitution the President may grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States. Case law has extended that power to include preemptive pardons. We respectfully request you exercise a preemptive pardon for Hillary Clinton to prevent a travesty of justice.
