Buying a gun isn't as difficult as it should be. When purchasing a gun in stores, buyers have to fill out a form from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. They are asked questions regarding their criminal history, name, address, and drivers license number; social security number is only OPTIONAL. Even if someone has been on the FBI's "watch list," that does not pop up when someone purchases a gun. If one buys a gun at a gun show, no paper work is even required. There has been too many incidents in America regarding mass shootings (Sandy Hook Elementary, Pulse Night Club of Orlando). Purchasing a gun should take time, and have a more deep and detailed background check.
