We are petitioning President Obama to intervene in the Democratic Republic of Congo (D.R.C) in order to restore the democratic choice of the People. All observers to the electoral process have asserted that fraud was orchestrated in favor of the incumbent president. In the spirit of President Obama’s PL 109-456, we, as residents and voters in the United States of America, are appealing to President Obama to defend the will of the Congolese people. This petition is supported by many of president Obama and democrats’ traditional supporters, who are disillusioned with the administration policies with regard to its support for democratic progress in Africa and particularly, in the D.R. Congo.
