Emphasizing education on important environmental matters in schools would be extremely beneficial to not only our country, but the world as a whole. By opening students' eyes on the major issues they may face in their future, such as climate change and extinction, they will begin to realize the impact that each individual can make on the planet. The more awareness that is raised about the gravity of the ecological problems we as a society are confronted by, the easier it will be to get individuals to come together and find solutions before it is too late. It all begins with enlightenment and understanding.
