Tell Congress and the President that we can not afford to cut any more to Medicaide or Medicare. It needs to increase!. There are millions suffering from mental illness in this country. We need common sense legislation on gun control that also deals with mental health. Most people who are mentally ill either do not get the help they need mainly due to lack of resources and education. Educators and Parents need to be trained to notice the signs of mental illness. As it is in the community where I live the closest larger city has NO Psychiatrists that take Medicare or Medicaide. There is actually only one agency in my city that even has a Psychiatrist on staff. They have all moved away or gone out of practice. This started to happen back when I had good insurance in 2000. Now it's worse.
