"We Can't Wait" for jobs for military veterans!

Created by D.J. on October 24, 2011

Use some of the money being saved by withdrawal from Iraq and troop reduction in Afghanistan to reimburse the first $12,500 of pay to employers for each military veteran they hire and keep for at least a year. Do not need to get Congressional approval for this because money already budgeted for defense spending is just being redirected. If this is not enough money to pay for this plan, make additional defense spending budget cuts to help pay for this plan. Require veterans who accept these jobs to be "on call" for additional military service in case of military emergency for one year. Exempt veterans with health problems from this requirement. This would justify using defense spending to help veterans get jobs. This could be part of the "we can't wait" program.
