We should change the value of the coins that we are making to help get out of the debt and to stop the loss of money into the production of coins. We should change the value of the Penny to 10 cents, the Nickel to 20 cents, the Dime to 50 cents, the Quarter to 1$, and the Half-Dollar to 2$ and the Dollar Coin to 3$. Doing this we would not need to recall all of the coins already in circulation right away and the only need is to change the coins being made to have the changes need to denote that they are the correct value. This will save the US over around 50 million dollars annually. This will help with the national debt and lower the cost needed to make our money.
