We demand the absence of religious basis in any future decisions made by the US Government.

We, as responsible American citizens, must demand our politicians to provide motivation, which is without any religious basis, for their decisions. All too often are politicians making decisions based on their own religious beliefs. This is irresponsible, as politicians must represent everyone in their jurisdiction, not only those with the same religious beliefs. Also, some arguments over modern issues are based in religious beliefs. For example, the argument against embryonic stem cell research is heavily based in Christianity. It is research which could potentially save lives, while people who argue against it are busy quoting the Bible, something many Americans don't care for. To maintain true religious freedom and uphold the first amendment, religion cannot have a place in politics.
