The Principality of Sealand is a micronation located about 7 nautical miles from the British coast of Suffolk. This State, consisting of an abandoned military platform, was in international waters, until 1987 (when the United Kingdom includes territorial waters that platform). For more than 45 years its sovereignty has not been recognized by any State; "de facto" was recognized only by the United Kingdom and Germany (due to some diplomatic relations occurred).
