India has been oppressing the kashmiris since the independence of India when Kashmir, a Muslim majority state wanted to merge with Pakistan. Pellets are being used to silence the protestors, women are raped by the Indian army deployed in the occupied state of Kashmir. Kashmiri activist are locked up in jails for speaking up for the rights of Kashmir. Thousands of innocent people have been killed by Indian army in last 69 years. We demand impartial investigation of the Kashmir issue by the US government and furthermore, necessary steps should be taken to restore the sovereignty of the Kashmiri people. Whether they want to align themselves with India, with Pakistan or they want a separate independent state, the decision should be made by Kashmiri people.
