We demand that Secretary Clinton issue a visa to Hamid Aboutalebi and arrest him when he arrives on US soil.

Created by J.A. on April 01, 2014

Hamid Aboutalebi has been implicated in the takeover of the US embassy in Tehran in 1979. Iran has now appointed him to be its ambassador to the United Nations. Since the only thing protecting our embassies abroad is the reciprocal agreements of nations to honor their integrity, we ask that Mr Aboutalebi's diplomatic rights be revoked as soon as he lands on US soil and he be arrested and tried, in the same manner he revoked the status of American diplomats. Failure to arrest him will show that the US government is not willing to protect the welfare of its state department workers. We expect your administration to take steps to ensure that failures like the 1979 hostage crisis never be repeated.
