We establish Super Bowl Sunday as an Official holiday

Created by A.R. on February 03, 2013

We establish Super Bowl Sunday as an official holiday celebrated on the the Monday after the Super Bowl. This is an event that is uniquely American. In 2012, 111 million Americans watch the game. All total, 163 million citizens watched at least part of the game. That's more than half of the population.

We know that the Super Bowl is something that pulls together much of the country. It also would have additional economic and job benefits as many people who scale down spending on restaurants and parties due to having to work first thing the next day, would not need to do so. This should offset any loss in worker productivity.
