We as free men and women of our great state of Tennessee, as our forefathers before us, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to our fellow countrymen our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor to the United States of America.
We pledge to guard ourselves in the spirit of our ancestors, and will not be faithless to the future of this nation their blood has ensured. Neither shall we forsake our brothers and sisters of this great nation, with the understanding that a nation divided is a nation that will surely fall and all it's citizens with it.
