On June 12, 2016, a man killed 20 people and wounded at least 42 inside the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Public condemnation of such senseless acts of violence needs to be followed by action. We need Congress and/or Executive action to enact stricter gun control rules. Considering that slow, unreliable flintlock weapons were used at the time the Bill of Rights was ratified, it is unlikely the Founding Fathers would deem a weapon capable of killing/injuring dozens in seconds as "in the scope" of the Second Amendment.
