We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

WE NEED THE GOVERNMENT TO TAKE AN ACTION AS A PART OF THE UNITED NATIONS TOWARS DEFENDING HUMAN RIGHTS IN SYRIA.

Created by M.S. on August 21, 2016

As a part of the security council, and being the strongest nation in the world, the United States should have took an action about the issue in Syria to stop al-Assad from killing more civilians and displacing others.
The issue in Syria started because innocent people wanted to practice their reserved rights as humans to overthrow the government . These rights were granted by "article 3", "article 5", and "article 6" in the "The Universal Declaration of Human Rights". Al-Assad as the president of Syria wanted to defend his presidency that started in 2000, so he ordered the military to tourture, kill, and surround civilians that practiced their rights.
We ask the government to take a stand to overthrow al-Assad and stop Russian air strikes In front of the UN.
