Members of Congress salaries need to be cut. They have no problem cutting everything else. Mention has been made about how they would maintain their lifestyle if their salaries were cut. Who cares? They don't seem to care about the typical American people. Let them live like us. Then they will care.
Members of Congress retire, they receive a pension, not full salary, not full medical benefits and CERTAINLY not a pardon on student loans for their children who go to college that they can surely pay for.
If any member of Congress is caught in a sex scandal and it is proven, they are dismissed immediately without pay or benefits as you and I would be.
When a member of Congress is not doing his/her job, they are let go/fired with no or little severance pay as you and I would be also.
