For years, we have known about a decline in bee populations occurring around the world, a phenomena referred to as colony collapse disorder. Recently, research has shown that Neonicotinoids are causing many of these deaths.
While there is no proof yet that these pesticides are the cause for colony collapse disorder, we do know that they are not good for bees and that any plant sprayed with them will kill any bee that tries to pollinate it.
These pesticides have already been banned in Europe and domestically in Oregon for this very reason.
Neonicotinoid pesticides are deadly to bees and the loss of bees is a serious threat to our food security. Help us get President Obama to ban Neonicotinoid class pesticides in the United States.
