We need to remove marijuana from the controlled substance list, legalize and tax it to help rebuild from the recession.

We live in a wonderful country, ruled by the people for the people. However we are still governed by old rules in a new world. We are attacking our own citizens in a false drug war. Imprisoning our future generation for using marijuana, and we the tax payer have to pay for it. I propose the legalization for marijuana as a stable revenue for local and national taxes. We as Americans have fought hard to win personal freedoms. Freedoms that have been infringed by removing our own personal choice. It's a choice to drink alcohol, which does far more damage than marijuana. Why can't we make our own choice for marijuana? I do not support ending the war on drugs, but I do support the choice for reasonable freedoms. This age should be the end of prohibiting a natural thing.
