We need the vote and choice of the Gabonese people during the presidential election to be respected

The United States have always promoted freedom, democracy around the world and this is what the Gabonese people aspirate. For almost 50 years our country has been ruled by one family and their supports who represent less than 10% of the entire population.
The last presidential election of August 27th 2016 was rigged. The outcome of this election doesn't reflect the will and choice of Gabonese people who voted massively for change.
People are arrested, killed because of their opinion. We want also to live free like the people of other countries where democracy and its principles are respected and promoted.
