As every parent knows August marks the beginning to a new school year; parents ready for a new year, and kids and teens not ready to start quite yet. Well as that is my point we would like to petition the Obama Administration to order nationwide schools to start after Labor Day and end before Memorial Day.
As we look at many statistics we see that longer summer vacations help increase our physical activity and our minds. It has been proven by the country of Finland that giving kids more time off from school results in better nationwide test scores.
In conclusion I would be pleased if the Obama Administration would recognize my petition to push back the beginning of the school year and move forward the start of summer vacation.
