Throughout both history and fiction, the Village Idiot has served as an important trope in uniting communities. Usually a drunkard or a simpleton, the Village creates unity among a people by allowing them to come together, point and laugh, and let out a collective sigh of relief that none of them are infact so unfortunate to be born so dim-witted as the fool which they mock.
Jeb Bush has proven himself more than qualified to assume this position, it would indeed be the only government office he could hope to be elected to based on his merit, so we implore the government: name Jeb Bush our National Idiot.
