We the People ask the federal government to call on congress to act on banning genetically modified organisms as a whole

This petition is necessary to taking the appropriate steps in banning the production of genetically modified organisms (GMO's). It's important to the citizens of the United States because it's our fundamental right to be protected by the government. Multiple researchers have conducted studies on the long term effects of GMO's, which include, but is not limited to the development of large cancer tumors, sever liver and kidney damage, and hormonal disturbances. It's a valid concern to the public health and environment of the United States and is not a matter that should be taken lightly.
