The citizens of the United States have the right to consideration, by the senate, of Supreme Court nominees. The Senate has blocked the consideration of Merrick Garland by refusing to hold hearings since his nomination on March 16, 2016, for political reasons and not on merit.
We ask President-Elect Trump to defend the Constitution of the United States and support Obama’s right to have Merrick Garland considered by the senate and therefore providing the people a voice through their elected representatives on the vacated Supreme Court Seat. This would demonstrate an intolerance for tactics to silence discourse on divisive issues related to the rights set forth by our forefathers.
