Robert L. Ignasiak Jr., M.D. (affectionately called Dr. Bob by the locals of Freeport, FL), is a victim of "America's War on Drugs." In 2008, Federal prosecutors convinced a jury that it was illegal to treat patients with narcotics, although he followed FDA guidelines. The judge and prosecution refused to instruct the Jury on Florida laws of prescribing. 3 1/2 years later he won his appeal. Facing retrial and his inability to afford attorney fees, he felt hopeless and did not appear. Pressured by the prosecution with threats to his family, he plead guilty. Please grant Dr. Ignasiak's pardon, allowing him to pick up the pieces of his shattered life.
