The Federal government has mandated insurance for many public safety risks. Many forms of liability insurance, workman's compensation funds, automotive insurance and personal health insurance for example, fall under mandate at the federal level. In consideration that fire arms are responsible for more deaths than auto accidents in 21+ (see below) states in 2014 and are on pace to reach record highs this year, we the people ask that insurance against fire arms accidents and violence be made mandatory for all gun owners and gun manufacturers alike. By establishing a National Fire Arms Insurance Fund patterned after national fire or flood insurance and requiring manufacturers to pay a small percentage of net profits to the fund annually.
