We the people believe that inauguration day, january 20, 2017, should be a federal holiday for all federal employees, in all 50 states to observe the formal ceremony or special event to mark the beginning of a major public leader's term of office.
Currently inauguration day is only a federal holiday for those Federal employees employed in-
1) the District of Columbia;
2) Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties in Maryland;
3) Arlington and Fairfax Counties in Virginia; and
4) the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church in Virginia.
We the People believe the holiday should include Federal employees in all 50 states, not just Washington, DC and surrounding areas.
