The newly-elected President of the U.S., Donald J. Trump, will not serve California’s best interests, his political stance conflicts with Californian values. Considering his nomination, we demand independence.
Being the sixth largest economy in the World, California subsidizes the other states and can compare and compete with other countries. California has the right to peacefully secede from the U. S., and by doing so, to gain independence in terms of security, government, trade, taxation, healthcare and education.
When state infrastructure is falling apart, public schools are ranked among the worst in the nation, the number of homeless people, deprived of basic necessities is the highest, poverty rates remain high, income inequality continues to expand, it is not the time for charity.
