We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

We the People call on Congress to create a federal law to consider racist attacks as domestic terrorism.

Created by R.B. on November 10, 2016

After the election on Tuesday, there are already instances portrayed on social media of hate speech, threats, and physical attacks against minorities, women, and LGBQT citizens. These words and attacks were motivated by the rhetoric and recorded claims of sexual assault by our next President of the United States. It is imperative that a "no tolerance" policy be enacted to keep all citizens safe, no matter their gender, sexual identity, religion, or race. We ask that Congress act now before the next President takes office as immediate action is necessary. These are acts of domestic terrorism and should be recognized as such. Stiffer punishment may eliminate future incidents and help aid in uniting a broken country.
