We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

We the People call upon President Obama to appoint Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court if the Senate refuses to act.

Created by E.M. on November 10, 2016

"It is in full accord with traditional notions of waiver to say that the Senate, having been given a reasonable opportunity to provide advice and consent to the president with respect to the nomination of Garland, and having failed to do so, can fairly be deemed to have waived its right." (Gregory L. Diskant, April 8th edition of the Washington Post)

We the People believe the Senate has been given a reasonable opportunity to provide Advice and Consent, but the Senate is unwilling to take up either of these duties. As outlined in Mr. Diskant’s piece, we request that President Obama appoint Judge Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court of the United States if the Senate fails to act upon its duties before the end of its current term.
