I believe Americans gave their lives in many wars to make certain all Americans have a right to express themselves, even those who harbor hateful thoughts. The first amendment was meant to apply to speech only, not behavior. This objectionable expression is obscene, it is painful, it is unpatriotic. It's known to cause people to engage those who are in violation of desecration in attempt to stop it even if it takes being physical. We can't disrespect our president just because we don't like him and walk up to him and make a finger gun pointed at him and fake shoot (an act). We would be quickly grabbed by the secret service.
