When electoral college was first designed, it is intended to allow for democracy to take place while not letting radical populism to take place. However, state legislature have consistently and seditiously attacked this vital foundation of US democracy. In order to properly safeguard this institution that we so deeply care about, it is vital for both the executive branch and the legislative branch of the government to enact a federal legislation protecting faithless electors from being prosecuted based on state law that is clearly against the intention of the Founding Fathers.
The content of this law must allow elector to do what they believe is right for their State and the Union. It must also prosecute "elector suppression" (i.e. scaring elector to vote against their belief)
