Seperate Illinois into 2 seperate states. North Illinois South Illinois. Due to the population of Chicago and it's suburban areas, the lesser populated, rural portions of the state do not recieve equal attention or representation from what is the state of Illinois currently. We petition that the state of Illinois be split in two using a line from the N.W. corner of Henderson county and the N.E. corner of Iroquois county.
Currently laws are passed or vetoed due to their impact or lack there of to Chicago. Particularly HB 5745. Furthermore, due to the political might of Chicago curruption and overspending are running rampant in our State government. The citizens of the Southern counties of Illinois are tired of living in the corrupt shadow of Chicago.
