The U. S. Constitution does not protect the voting rights of American Citizens, and "the several states" have varying laws which deprive citizens of their right to vote.
Many citizens are denied the right to elect their representatives.
Even after a debt to society is paid many states still deny the citizen the right to elect their own representatives.
These citizens have absolutely zero say in who gets elected to positions which create restrictions on every resident of this country.
