We the people request all politicians recieving salaries and pay of 6 figures a year and more slash their own pay by 50%

For too long have the American people stood alone in the struggle to maintain the bare necessities of this life with our ever decreasing incomes, I say ever decreasing because even with pay raises, most of the middle class struggles in maintaining their households. Whether it be the bare essentials of food, electricity, heat and other utilities, we see our friends, and family, being laid off from their jobs and becoming unemployed with little chance of finding a job that can successfully compete with the income they were recieving previously. All this is happening while our politicians live it up, recieving salaries born on the backs of our labors. I ask that every politician receiving 6 figure salaries slash their own income by 50% a year, as a sign that they truly stand with the people.
