In order to fix the mess that has been created in Congress, We the People of the United States of America demand an amendment to ensure the future of our country.
This amendment will:
1. Establish congressional term limits to no more than two 6 year terms per seat.
2. Establish that Congress will not establish a pay raise themselves, but must be voted on by the people.
3. Establish that Congress will not receive any entitlements, such as a pension, health care, and all funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately.
4. Establish that no member of Congress will be eligible for reelection any time there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP.
The US Congress is supposed to be citizen legislators, not career politicians! This we demand!
