We the people urge President Obama to support the Television Consumer Act so people only pay for the channels they watch

Created by S.S. on August 30, 2013

After such events as the Super Bowl's "wardrobe malfunction" and the recent MTV VMA's "twerk" out, the need to allow consumers to choose what channels they pay for is becoming evident. Parents should not indirectly fund programming they would not like their children to see or they themselves do not watch. If the Television Consumer Freedom Act was passed it would offer an ala carte style programming menu, we would only pay to see they channels we want our family's to have access to or to the channels we use. This bill was introduced in May by Senator John McCain. If the President were to lend his support to this bill it would go a long way in helping it to pass.
