The Electoral College originally began so people in the middle of nowhere did not guess on who to vote for, but in present-day United States, all people are able to access news and facts. The Electoral College makes it so that people do not actually get a say in what their state decides. Electors are chosen to represent all of the people in a whole state, but they do not always decide on what the majority of the state feels. In addition, throughout history, some electors have voted based on their own views and not what the people want. In a few states, there are some laws that enforce electors to vote for what the people want, but in most cases, there are no laws to stop them. The Electoral College is unfair to the people of this nation, and therefore, it should be abolished. CHS-JMS
