While the chances that Donald Trump will win the general election are at best negligible, we feel that an endorsement from Obama would make such a victory unthinkable.
This is a simple consequence of the fact that the demographic likely to vote for Trump is, apparently, devoted to opposing President Obama at every opportunity regardless of if doing so furthers their mid to long term goals.
The ideal timing for such an action would be after Trump secures the republican nomination.
