We the people would like to request to the President to lower the salaries of all Senators and members of Congress

The members of congress were elected to serve the people it was not meant for their jobs to be lucrative; nor for them to retire with outrageous pensions for the rest of their lives. Everyone should contribute to lower the deficit by permanently lowering the salaries of all members of congress. The salaries of Senators right now is over $174,000.00 per year. Who pays for those salaries? our taxes. Same goes with the House of Representatives in Congress. I am suggesting it should be fair to cut the salaries permanently to $60,000.00 per year for Senators and House of Representatives.
