We the people ask the federal government to Tell us what the federal government is doing about an issue:

We petition an investigation to the business practices of Luxottica Group SpA for violation of antitrust laws.

Created by C.M. on September 18, 2016

Luxottica Group SpA is an Italian corporation that has overwhelming control of the eyewear market in the US. Luxottica designs, manufactures, distributes and retails its eyewear brands, including Lenscrafters, Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision, Sears Optical, Target Optical, Eyemed Vision Care plan (the second largest vision plan in the US), and Glasses.com. Its brands include Ray-Ban, Persol, and Oakley.

Luxottica also makes sunglasses and prescription frames for designer brands such as Chanel, Prada, Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Versace, Dolce and Gabbana, Miu Miu, Donna Karan, Stella McCartney, Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren, and Michael Kors.

This creates an illusion of competition when, in fact, allows for coercive business practices and price fixing that affect small businesses and consumers.
