Tuition assistance has long been a staple of young men and women joining the military. A chance to serve and have tuition paid for. Now, in a quiet way, Tuition assistance has suddenly been paired down to only 16 credit hours in a fiscal year.

Soldiers, and the public, have come to expect this benefit, and while it technically still exist, it is now a shell of its' former self.

The Obama Administration should address the issue, along with any plans it has to fix what the public clearly has decried as an outrage in the past. Changing its form does not change the situation that had so much backlash over in the past.
