We want to block the construction of Keystone XL pipeline for the following reasons:
1) The pipeline will carry foreign crude across many environmentally sensitive areas.
2) It will not be mined in the US and once refined will be shipped of foreign countries so it won't add to the US's reserves.
3) Canadian provinces have refused to have the pipeline cross their territories. If the Canadians don't think it is a good idea, why should we risk the environmental disaster it will surely cause?
4) The crude is being mined by fracking, of which environmental risks are unknown.
