Oregon Ranchers (“Dwight Lincoln Hammond, Jr., 73, and his son, Steven Dwight Hammond, 46,) who were scheduled to begin five year prison sentences (turning themselves in on January 4th 2016). The facts that they had previously served and completed sentences for the same alleged charges. That charges were resubmitted by the Federal government. That the original case was based on circumstantial evidence and was later found to be possibly tainted as the law enforcement person was married to the land management person which greatly prejudiced the case against the Hammonds
