We Petition the Obama Administration to recognize Good Friday and Easter Sunday as a Federal Holiday available to all federal workers. I think it is a travesty that the U.S. government acknowledges the birth if Jesus Christ on December 25th, but denies all federal workers the freedom to celebrate his resurrection. If this holiday is recognized by the federal government then I can only imagine that the rest of the private and public industries that currently also deny their workers this holiday will follow suit. To me it really doesn't make sense to recognize Christmas, but not recognize Good Friday or Easter because both holidays involve things that are above all of our understanding, title, education, and socioeconomic status.
