WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:
Prohibit laws and regulations that infringe on the rights of religious organizations to speak freely regarding activities affecting the lives of their members. Any law or regulation that limits free speech in any peaceful public gathering is offensive in a free and open society. Our founding fathers understood this when they exempted churches from taxation, knowing that what you tax, you control.
Using tax laws to gag churches violates our rights as citizens and should be prohibited. 26 U.S.C. § 501(c) of the United States tax code, should be rewritten to allow complete freedom of speech, even while attending church. Under the doctrine of separation, the church has been removed from the state, but the state is not removed from the church.
